And since there doesn't seem to be any good light brushes, I'm starting to think that the reason might be that the program just isn't capable of doing light brushes like procrate which would be a massive shame. However, they're not good, not even close to procreate. I looked all over the clip studio asset shop as well as 3rd party sites to find a good replacement, and I found a few light pens. And to do that, I made heavy use of the luminance brushes in procrate. In my art I use a lot of light effects like lightning and fire.
So far, clip studio has been serving me pretty well but I've just noticed a big flaw which I can only hope isn't inherent to the program.
I moved from procreate to clip studio paint recently because my apple pencil broke.
